RMCS Arms holds a Type 07 Manufacturer FFL with SOT — the only one of its kind in the immediate Permian Basin. That means we don't just assemble parts. We manufacture. We serialize. We build suppressors in-house. Most shops can't touch half of what we do legally.
Most FFLs are Type 01 dealers — they can transfer and sell. A Type 07 is a manufacturer. The difference matters more than you'd think.
We can build firearms from raw stock — not just assemble 80% kits or swap parts. That means true bespoke builds where we machine and serialize the receiver from the beginning.
When we manufacture a firearm, we assign the serial number and enter it in our A&D bound book. That serial is RMCS Arms' — correct, compliant, and permanent. We don't hand you a parts kit and send you home with paperwork problems.
SOT authorization lets us manufacture suppressors via Form 2 instead of waiting on a Form 4 transfer. We build it here, it stays in-house — faster and often cheaper than tracking down a production can on extended NFA wait times.
Short-barreled rifles built in our shop without sending your firearm to another state. We handle the Form 2 manufacture paperwork. Faster turnaround, local accountability.
Any Other Weapons and Destructive Device modifications within Texas law. If it requires a manufacturer's authorization to build, we have it. Call first — some of this depends on the specific item.
Swap your .308 AR-10 to 6.5 Creedmoor. Re-barrel a precision bolt gun. Convert a hunting rifle to a different chambering. We match and headspace everything — nothing leaves the bench untested.
Starting from a bare action or trued action, we spec the barrel, stock, trigger, and brake to your intended use. Hunting, PRS competition, long-range plinking. Built to a zero, not just assembled.
Five steps, one builder, no handoffs. Every decision gets made with you before anything gets ordered.
You tell Ronald what you're building and why — caliber, use case, budget ceiling. He'll tell you what's realistic and what's overkill. No pressure, no sales pitch.
Final parts list locked in. $250 deposit holds your slot in the queue and covers initial parts sourcing. You see the full spec sheet before anything ships.
Parts ordered from vetted suppliers. Anything we manufacture in-house — receivers, suppressors, barrels — gets built to spec and serialized under our Manufacturer FFL.
Ronald builds it. Function check, headspace verification, zero confirmation where applicable. Nothing ships until it runs right. If it doesn't pass, we don't charge you for it.
Pick up at the shop in Andrews or arrange FFL transfer to your local dealer. All paperwork is complete, serial is in the bound book, and you get a full rundown of the build on pickup.
Starting prices reflect common configurations with quality components. Final pricing confirmed at spec review — no surprises after deposit.
Hunting, long-range plinking, PRS competition. Tikka T3, Remington 700, Savage 12, or customer-supplied action. Barrel, stock, trigger, and optic rail selected to your use case and budget.
Semi-auto platform builds done right — billet or forged upper/lower, barrel selected to caliber and barrel-length requirements, proper carrier group and buffer spec. Includes serialized 80% builds and NFA-compliant configurations.
We manufacture suppressors in-house under our Type 07 + SOT authorization. Form 2 manufacture is faster than a Form 4 transfer and keeps the build local. Multi-caliber hosts, dedicated cans, and rimfire units all available.
Grandpa's bolt gun that's been sitting in a safe for thirty years. Working military surplus that needs a proper restoration. Heirloom pieces get the same A&D entry and careful handling as anything we manufacture new.
NFA builds done here skip the round-trip to another state. SBR builds and suppressor manufacture happen in Andrews, under our SOT authorization. Your firearm doesn't travel, and neither does the paperwork delay.
We don't pull builds from a price sheet. You tell us the caliber, the intended use, the weight target, the optic. We spec it from there. Parts are chosen for what you're building, not what's in stock at a distributor markup.
Manufacturer FFL and SOT authorization means we manage the NFA forms, the A&D bound book entries, and all transfer documentation. You don't need to navigate ATF paperwork on your own — that's what the license is for.
Ronald builds everything that leaves this bench. Not a technician, not an apprentice, not a production line. When you call with a question two years from now, he'll remember your build. That's what it means to be a craftsman.
